Agreements

TERMS & CONDITIONS. -- CANCELLATIONS * Local destination trips up to 100 km. All Vehicle class categories: Free: up to 1 hour before departure. 100% of the fare: less than 1 hour before departure. By the hour and long distance trips over 100 km. All Vehicle categories: Free up to 24 hours before departure 100% of the fare less than 24 hours before departure. Except for special events such as Grand Prix Formula 1.* WAITING TIME ON PICK-UP Free waiting time for all pick-up locations except the airport: 15 minutes from the agreed pick-up time. For airport pick-up (only if flight number is given): All vehicle class categories: 60 minutes, starting from actual landing. If no flight number was specified when booking, the regular waiting time of 15 minutes applies, regardless of the actual arrival time. Extension of waiting time for all pick-up locations: Destination one way booking: The passenger can ask the driver for additional waiting time. Extending the waiting time cannot be guaranteed. The driver will decide whether this is possible or not, depending, for example, on his future journeys on his schedule. The following costs are incurred: Business Sedan: $2.33CAD + taxes. Van Class 6: $2.66CAD + taxes. First Class Sedan: $3.16CAD + taxes. Van Class 8: $3.66CAD + taxes. (Vehicle class hourly rate / 60 = per minute cost + taxes). Book by the hour: The hourly service booking starts at the pickup time confirmed upon booking. The driver will stay booked for the passenger for duration of the reservation. MEETING POINT WITH THE DRIVER FOR AIRPORT PICK-UP Outside the passengers exit point or baggage claim area at the gate assigned to the specified flight number, unless a curb side pick-up is agreed upon. If requested, the driver will be holding a pickup sign with the name of the passenger. If the driver cannot be found, please contact BlackCar Automations on (514) 512-3512 or on our emergency hotline at (514) 762 3512 STOP-OVERS Destination one way booking: Stop-offs are possible if the request is indicated in the Comments/Special requirements field under PASSENGER DETAILS and confirmed in writing by BlackCar Automations. A spontaneous stop-off on site will be possible only with the driver's agreement. For stop-offs, additional kilometre charges and additional waiting times may apply, see Additional kilometres and Waiting Time at Pickup sections. Book by the hour: The driver can be informed of any desired stop-offs directly on site. If you have a specific wished route when booking, please share it under Comments/Special requirements in PASSENGER DETAILS. As long as the stop-offs are within the booked time window, no additional fees will be charged. However, additional kilometre fees may apply, see Additional kilometres section. FREE INCLUDED KILOMETRES Destination one way booking: All the kilometres necessary to make the booked destination ride. If the included kilometres are exceeded, additional kilometres will be charged according to section CHANGES TO BOOKING - Additional kilometres. Book by the hour: If the ride ends in the same city as started, all kilometres are included. If the ride does not end in the same city as started, all kilometres during the booked time period are included. For the return of the car and driver to the origin 1.50 CAD$ extra costs plus taxes per kilometre will be charged, considering the shorted distance between destination and origin. CHANGES TO BOOKING Extending the booking period for booking by the hour: In order to extend the booking, the customer must inform BlackCar and receive a confirmation before starting the journey. If you would like to spontaneously extend it on site, the driver will decide whether this is possible depending on connecting trips. It is only possible to extend it in 1 hour blocks for a fee. Additional Kilometres for destination Booking: Should the number of kilometres actually driven be higher than the number of kilometres booked, due to additional stops or other inquiries from the passenger, additional costs per km will be charged depending on the booking vehicle class and price per kilometre for total distance. EXTRA COSTS DURING THE RIDE Any extra costs that may incur during the ride, will be charged after the ride to the method of payment the original booking was made with. The booking customer is responsable for the resulting extra costs. NON CONCLUSION OF THE RIDE Passenger does not turn up If the passenger does not arrive at the agreed pick-up location without canceling the booking within the free waiting period after the agreed pick-up time and if they cannot be reached via the telephone number stated in the booking, this will be regarded as non-appearance. In this case, the journey will be invoiced at 100%. Driver does not turn up If the driver does not arrive, the passenger must contact the driver directly. The passenger will always receive the telephone number by SMS at least one hour before departure and through the online invoice sent by email. If the driver is not available, please contact BlackCar Automations on (514) 512-3512 or our emergency  hotline at (514) 762 3512 and we will find an alternative solution for the transfer. Passenger prevents transport If the passenger decides to refrain from a journey because the driver refuses special services (e.g. transport of children, animals, bulky luggage), which the transport service provider previously did not agree to, the total amount of the fees agreed for the journey remains payable, less any expenses saved. Refusal of the ride by the driver The driver may refuse to carry out the journey if the passenger does not comply with the rules in the vehicle or if he or she suspects that the person booking or the passenger is part of an illegal organization or uses the services in an illegal manner or for illegal purposes. GENERAL INFORMATION Vehicle & Booking classes The vehicle pictures shown online serve exclusively to illustrate the different vehicle classes that belong to the individual car categories. Please take into consideration that any of these vehicles could be assigned to your reservation when choosing the desired category. Rules in the vehicle The following rules apply to every trip: No smoking/vaping in the vehicle Seat belts must be worn Vehicle must be treated with care In the event of non-compliance with these rules and inappropriate behaviour such as vandalism and activities that make the driver feel unsafe or uncomfortable, the total amount of the agreed fees remains payable, less any expenses that may have been saved. Additionally, BlackCar Automations may claim compensation from the user or passenger for the necessary repair of damage to the vehicle or cleaning dirt in the vehicle caused by the passenger that exceeds the usual level. Transport of Minors Baby/child seats This information must be entered in the comments/special requirements field under PASSENGER DETAILS when booking. If you would like a child seat, the age of the child is required. If this information is not included in the booking, the trip may not be carried out due to safety regulations depending on the legislation of the province and country in which the trip takes place. The trip will be fully charged. Transport of unaccompanied Minors Travel arrangements for unaccompanied minors are subject to approval by the driver performing the services. BlackCar Automations cannot guarantee that all our drivers allow unaccompanied minors. If you wish book a ride for an unaccompanied minor, please add a comment on the Comments/Special Requirements section of the PASSENGER DETAILS page. BlackCar will provide the customer with the details of the driver assigned to the booking, in order for the customer to make such travel arrangements directly with the driver. Alternatively, please contact BlackCar directly. Requests that go beyond BlackCar Automations included standard services require an availability check which is only performed if you contact the driver directly or the BlackCar phone line at the time of the booking request. Our standard cancellation policy applies in the event that no availability check was performed and, consequently, our driver was unable to carry out the ride. Luggage and number of passengers One piece of hand luggage per passenger such as a purse, briefcase, small backpack or a laptop bag, which is carried in the passenger compartment is included and free of charge for all of our booking classes. The transportation of larger suitcases is not allowed in the passenger compartment for safety and insurance reasons. Therefore, the number of luggages permitted per booking classes varies between booking classes. The current details are displayed when you select the booking class while booking. Business and First Class Sedans: Three passengers per vehicle. Two pieces of luggage with each not exceeding the total size of 158cm (sum of width + height + depth) per vehicle. Van Class 6: Six passengers per vehicle. Five pieces of luggage with each not exceeding the total size of 158cm (sum of width + height + depth) per vehicle. Van Class 8: Eight passengers per vehicle. Twelve pieces of luggage with each not exceeding the total size of 158cm (sum of width + height + depth) per vehicle. The luggage allowance per booking class is mentioned in the Vehicles page. If you’re traveling with luggage in excess of the allowance, please add a comment on the Comments/Special Requirements section of the PASSENGER DETAILS page. BlackCar does not guarantee that our drivers will accept more luggage than the advertised luggage allowance. BlackCar will provide the customer with the details of the driver assigned to the booking in order for the customer to make such travel arrangements directly with the driver. Alternatively, please contact BlackCar Automations direct phone line. Travel arrangements for unaccompanied luggage are subject to approval by the driver performing the services. BlackCar cannot guarantee that all our drivers allow unaccompanied luggage. If you wish to book a ride for an unaccompanied luggage, please add a comment on the Comments/Special Requirements section of the PASSENGER DETAILS page. BlackCar will provide the customer with the details of the driver assigned to the booking, in order for the customer to make such travel arrangements directly with the driver.
